American Manufacturing Hall of Fame Honors EBAD

Two Connecticut companies that contributed to NASA’s historic Artemis II mission Simsbury based Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense and Henkel Corp. have been inducted into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame.

EBAD supported the mission by providing explosive hardware, signal cords, and separation systems used throughout the Artemis II spacecraft modules. These critical technologies helped enable the safe and reliable separation of spacecraft components during the successful 10 day crewed lunar mission.

The ceremony also recognized innovative students from Avon High School, local FIRST Robotics teams, and the continued impact of Connecticut manufacturers and STEM programs.
