M112 Demolition Block
The M112 Demolition Block is a staple of military demolition. It consists of 1.25 pounds of composition C-4, pressed into a rectangular block and packaged in a compact, easy to handle, easy to transport, shrink-wrapped, plastic envelope.
Principal of Operation
The M112 Demolition Block can be used for general demolition individually, combined with other M112 blocks or broken up and molded into virtually any shape to conform to irregular surfaces or when less explosive is desired.
Construction
The M112 Demolition Block consists of 1.25 pounds of composition C-4 plastic explosive pressed into a block measuring approximately 1.0 in (2.54 cm) H x 2 in (5.08 cm) W x 11 in (27.9 cm) L and has pressuresensitive adhesive tape attached to one surface. Each block is packaged in a sealed, shrink-wrapped, plastic, OD green envelope.
