Flexible solutions for networking ordnance events
Many of today’s missiles, launch vehicles, and manned space platforms have ordnance events initiated by a network of Explosive Transfer Lines, one-shot safing devices, and pyrotechnic delay devices. For more than 50 years, customers have relied on EBAD to provide reliable Explosive Signal Transfer Systems that stand up to extreme dynamic and climatic environments found on Space and Missile platforms. We offer a wide range of flexible, plug-and-play components designed to work in concert with downstream mechanisms and provide optimal functionality for motor ignition, stage and fairing separation, and flight termination functions. Our Explosive Signal Transfer products have broad qualification and flight pedigree, and are the recognized industry standard by vehicle primes and domestic range safety organizations.
Precision timing
Downstream of the electric initiator, mechanical initiator or Safe & Arm device, the Explosive Signal Transfer System provides non-electric energy transmission to the vehicle ordnance functions. Their operational function is analogous to that of an electrical system where the signal can be multiplexed, modulated, and delayed in time to sequence functions on a vehicle.
Optimal control of how things come together—and apart
Joining energetic components with Explosive Signal Transfer System components and separating the stages of a booster assembly share one common critical performance aspect: when the moment comes, the energetics must perform. From invisible factors, such as establishing effective ground path for static electricity, to those that you want in plain sight, such as easily labeled ports for simplified integration into your design, our manifolds and disconnects bring your mission a world of expertise.
